Oranges were introduced to the Western Hemisphere as early as 1513
when Spanish explorers planted orange trees around St. Augustine, Florida. The
color of an orange has nothing to do with its flavor. In fact, oranges grown in
Thailand are green, not orange! More than half of the fresh fruit and
vegetables eaten by Americans during the winter are grown in Florida. The
orange blossom and orange are traditional symbols of love. |

Orange is a leading plant in southern Florida, Texas, Arizona, and
California. All the Orange honey extracted by Henry Parker comes from Florida.
The Orange trees bloom in March and April and produce a white to extra-light
amber honey with a distinctive flavor and the aroma of orange blossoms. The
bees that produce this sweet and delicate honey also hold the very important
job of pollinating the citrus trees that make Florida the country's premier
citrus growing regions. |

Gathered from the hives placed in orange groves
and filled directly into the jars without additives or heating, this honey is
absolutely pure. Many commercially produced honeys are heated and diluted with
water to increase their yield. Often times this creates problems with
crystallization. This golden orange honey is silky smooth and perfect for
morning breakfast fair. |
